That the needle stripe on the head can be used as a deffinant indicator of a jungle boa.

The broken head stripe is one of five characteristics that can make a Jungle a Jungle. In some cases only one characteristic need be present. In others, I would need three to be present to tip the scale. It unfortunately is NOT an exact science and there is the objectivity of the definer that plays into the Jungle determination. I see lots of "Jungles" that I would not have labeled as such. So that one characteristic is not the definitive characteristic that all Jungles have because there isn't any one that every Jungle complies with.
These are the five characteristics I look for:
- Broken Head Stripe
- Pale Pattern Elements
- Missing "saddle points"
- Aberrant Pattern
- Popping color
This guy doesn't have the broken head stripe either, but he has everything else:

I really liked this one too!

I like the base hue of the first one and the clean crispness of the second one. I also prefer the striped tail of the first. I see that type of jagged striping on many blood boas. As far as jungle characteristics I like seeing the connected saddles over the spilled paint bucket rorscach looking test saddles. Both of those snakes are so clean though. I'm trying to decide myself If I like non hypo jungles best though. I really like the bold black drawn outline of the patterns. Pastel is a must in my book however.
