Being Proactive. Going on the offensive.

Talk about hitting the AR groups where it hurts(the wallet) to help our end has tickled my ear and got the brain juices boiling. This is the best tactic, but I feel we need to exploit and take advantage of this strategy.
Now, it's true that more public education on the issue will cut out donations from the general population, but that is not the sole source of there income. They rely on their famous friends for support and funding. These actors, bands and celebrities donate alot for the tax write-offs and fund raisers. Despite the money and fame, they are not immune to our reach. In fact, some are more vulnerable.
If 30 Rock on NBC was boycotted during it's new season and knowingly lost thousands of viewers due to Baldwin's open support of PETA, would it not raise an eyebrow?
If bands like Fall Out Boy or Rob Zombie had picket lines at their concerts from herp owning, now ex-fans; think anyone would notice? What if all the keepers who once were fans sent back the CDs, posters and t-shirts to these bands with letters on why they will no longer support their music? It'd be one hell of a message. I'd do it had I not trashed those things upon hearing of their support of the AR agenda.

I propose using these tactics because it could reach beyond our community. I have other ideas, but after stewing on this I feel it can be the most effective at raising awareness and putting the pressure back on the enemy. I also say use them because we know they are not above using it themselves nor lowering the bar for more irrational tactics. And let that irrationality be the unveiling of the true AR face and ultimately their downfall.
Truth hurts those that conceal t.

I am one sep ahead of you. If I know a star or a company supports the AR groups I do not buy there products.
But yes, we all need to stop buying from them.
Also we need to let other people know that it is not just snake keepers that are going to loose there rights to keep there animals. They need to know the AR groups want to stop the keeping of any animal including dogs and cats not to mention farm livestock.
I still see and hear a lot of people saying that people that keep snakes are letting them go into South Florida. We need more PR against that matter. I try to post a comment on any AOL article were people are posting this kind of crap against snake keepers. People are ignorant to the facts and only know what they get told. This is why they need to get told the real story!

I find the atitude of Peta toards eutanizing healty animals of upmost decust and revolt. To say that is for "helping animals" is insulting mine and other peoples inteligences. Im not in the states but I trully beleave its time to figth back. What if a bunch of pet hobbists studborningly started to distribut panflets showing the true face of ars to people going to the conserts of the guys that support them? That would do some work! SAME THING ON EVERY SHOPPING MALL, EVERY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY,etc. That would start to consistently have some efect!
