"calico like" white scales on pastel

djslurp1200 Nov 28, 2009 02:57 PM

Now I am in no way saying I have a calico pastel...or that I have some new morph combo or anything...LOL

I just so happened to have noticed the white scales on this pastel female and thought it looked really cool and wanted to share with everybody... I picked this girl up as a 1,000g "Black Friday" special... she's in shed at the moment so she's a little dark but still looks great IMO.

The flash kinda washes the white scales out in the pics...

Video shows the white scales better...

We prodcued a few Pastels bred with one of our slightly abbarant females in the past. Some have had a lot of white and some only had a little but we have not been able to reproduce it repeatedly. I have also known a few others that have produced some as well. They were called white sided pastels. They all definitely have a good look to them.

Very cool and thank you for the insight.

We have another pastel that has the white scales as well but not as much or as pronounced. Please feel free to post some pictures of yours if you do not mind...

Thank you,

Steven Kelley
