Burms on my 10 o'clock news!

spider916 Nov 28, 2009 10:12 PM

I damn near fell out of my chair just now. The 10 o'clock news just informed me that burmese pythons lay 100 eggs every three months! That sure is news to me! And they are still boasting the 100,000 number in the Everglades, yet 15 hunters managed to catch only 37 in four freakin months. Please.

This stuff makes me want to forget anything I ever "learned" from tv.

Reproducing every 3 months is obviously way off. I bet I know how they came to that conclusion, but still... that's horrible.

The 100,000 snakes in the glades number could be accurate though. Basing your opinion off of the number of snakes killed by hunters is really not a good way to go about it.
