pygmyleaf Sep 18, 2003 02:29 PM

ive had him for maybe a few months and he hasnt grown alot. he was very small when we got him and has probly doubled in size but hes still smaller than many i see in pet stores! he eats alot, often till hes no longer interested. lately he olny has crickets, i used to give him earthworms, meals, butterflys and i tried giving him a feeder goldfish but he wasnt intererasted. should i start giving him more variety? its been hard since i go to school now. i should dust more often also right?

Don't be too worried by this, some grow faster or slower than others, and what sex it isplays a big role on how fast they grow as well. Females grown larger than males, and usually grow faster than them as well. I bought my male and the female that died a while back 4 months apart from each other, and after 2 months she was nearly his size, after 4 months she was bigger than him. And some will not seem to grow, but then will have a sudden growth spurt.

I recently started tracking the growth of all my Pac mans and noticed a large variation in growth rate. One of my frogs was 1 15/16 " long 5 days ago and has already grown to 2 1/4 inches! and the others have hardly grown at all. I believe my measurements are correct but may have a /- of about 2/16". One other thing that I noticed is that 2 of my frogs that are 1/2" larger than the 2 1/4" frog, weigh probably more than double of him, (They could easily eat him.). I dont know if this will help, but I found it interesting. Thanks, James.

What size is it? If it is male 2 inches can be adult. Andy

I had 2 horned frogs, and after the reached 3 inches the stopped growing (both were males, the calls were so loud you can hear it from outside the house. How big are yours?
