green whiteish poop

pidgejen Nov 30, 2009 11:39 AM

hello...

so my female just pooped and she had the urinate part under the hide on the cool end, and the poop part was in the middle of the tank under a different hide. The poop was a different color than usual. Instead of being dark, it was green and chalky looking. Any ideas?

Other than this she seems super healthy, alert, and is feeding like a champ.

The green is caused by bile salts staining the urates. Usually this shows up in a snake that has been off food for a month or more. If this is a new snake, then I wouldn't worry.
