Hey everyone,
I need to find some blueprints/plans for a cage for an upcoming purchase of a Tegu or an Argus/Flavi, Roughneck or Peach Throat Monitor...I need the cage to be at least 6 ft long, 3 ft wide and 3.5 ft deep. I need the plans because tools are a foreign language to me and I have a friend who wanted a winter project to work on but I can't draw out plans to save my life *L* I need the cage to have front opening doors, placement for air flow vents, a litter dam thats at least 2 ft high to hold back a LOT of dirt mixture, bottom crossbeam supports and for it to have casters/wheels (I can get industrial strength ones for this project that should have a weight bearing capacity of 1200 lbs.. definately more than I'l need but also very unlikely to break). Any suggestions on Materials that aren't overly expensive are welcome just like any material lists and detailed plans...right now I've only considered plywood as a starter but I don't want to waste a lot of materials either.
Any plans that anyone might be willing to share I'd be very grateful..Pictures of the process would be a big bonus but not completely neccesary. If its easier to email me this stuff, my email is lucienmezhati@charter.net
Thank you for any future help you can provide for me. I've kept monitors before but the cage I had given to me as a gift from a friend, ended up breaking competely when I tried to add a tree stump hide and some river rocks and clay hiding areas..I think the wood was already faulty or my friend forgot to waterproof the bottom. Not sure though..and it wasn't really furniture quality since it was top opening and had no glass/plexi/lexan to help showcase the monitors... Anyway, any help or references to older thread that do step by step instructions would be a great help.
