moving??? think agian!

two days before my move she went into her POS, the move took about three hours from the time I turned off the heat till all my cages and racks were set up and turned on agian. I thought it went pretty smooth, but two days after the move I found one of my girls belly up. She was a 05 baby and this was going to be her first litter. Any way I had to see what she was carrying, one egg was cut and did'nt make the pic. If you look close at the front left egg you will see two eggs in one sack, so she would of had 14 if everything went ok. Im not sure if it can be blamed on the move but I would'nt know what else to think. Any how you can see how the eggs look at this stage. Carman you will be missed!

Sorry you lost her, but wouldn't put it all on the move. Animals have been imported gravid and dropped litters, and I'm sure they weren't handled nearly as carefully on their long journey. On the flip side, I've lost gravid females that were never touched during gestation. It's one of those things that happens, and the only chance at getting a true explanation is by taking the animal in for a necropsy, and even that will leave you scratching your head sometimes. Again, sorry for your loss.
