Looks like a really nice Peanut Butter or it could be a Jelly. Hard to tell with the flash. It is a male correct?

Who did you get it from?

HI Rainer

I didn't use a flash. Should I take some new pics using different lighting and colored backgrounds. Would that help?

Its a male. I have a het female that came with him. Would it help to take pics of the female? They are adults and should breed this fall for the first time!

I got them from Josh Ketchum and I think he got them from Bobby Blair or Ric Blair.

"They are adults and should breed this fall for the first time!"

Hopefully, you meant to say "spring", not fall, as that might be a problem without some great trickery involved..LOL!

Yeah, I know just what ya mean there. It is always a possibility, and a fair amount of folks do this.

yes please!

I think Ric blair got some Jellies from me.

The Jellies and PB's are related from incomplete dominance where neither morph is stronger than the other. Breeding a Jelly to Jelly will produce Peanut butters, jellies and T negatiives.

Breeding a jelly to PB will produce PB's and Jellies.

Breeding a Jelly to a T neg will produce jellies and T negatives.

Breeding a Jelly to jelly, whether it is a het Jelly or not, will produce Jellies , Peanut butters and T negatives.

Most of my Peanut butters and Jellies are het for other traits today as i crossed them into multiple traits such as snows (lavender x anery homos) and ghosts (hypo and axanthic homos). Which changed their look... Much like the hypos all looked one way when they first arrived on the scene. Then after after they were crossed out to other phenotyopes we got Flames, dark brown hypos and abberrant patterns. Rael different looking hypos.

The Peanut butter and Jelly are the key to producing new more striking morphs when combined with other traits. Also because the way it acts, since the Jelly splits 3 ways it is even better than any single recessive trait.

Oh yeah the Phantoms are my favorite Brooks.

Thanks for the info, that help understanding the Peanutbutter and Jelly traits.

I will keep you posted on the results this spring if all goes well.
