Best source for Savannahs? CB...

fireproof Dec 03, 2009 02:29 PM

I've always loved Savannahs and have seen some awesome docile specimens as well as some downright ornery ones.

Who are the "go to" breeders or herpers for great Savannahs? Healthy, quality babies, captive born, etc.

I see a lot of imports in the classifieds section (and some of which I'm uncertain), so I thought I would get some recommendations...

There are no "go to" breeders. Sav babies wholesale at well under $10 bucks a piece, there is no commercial viability in breeding them.

When they are captive bred in the u.s., it is most often a singular occurance.

Farmed babies can be fine, just get them as young as possible, get one hand picked, and get a fecal done.

That makes sense. I was wondering since you see them so cheap online.

I think I've memorized your site by now and know you don't carry them. So I was looking for the next best thing.
