well i have known this person for quite some time and well she has come to like my animals so i helped her out thru the years setting things up for her and teaching her few things etc.

::::::::Claires Animals:::::

Satan: female coastal carpet python, she has a long story behind her lol short version is. My buddy bought her, i bred her few years later, gave back few months after eggs laid, got her back a few months later for general care due to some life problems friend was having, gave back when he could have her again then she was sold to my friend claire whom still has her now but was in my care for a few months again lol.

Oh Lord: (formerly known as delilah) argentine x columbian supposedly het albino. I bought as a female and found out later was a male so i sold it claire.

Clown: ghost corn, I hatched it out sold it to exs brother he didnt want it so i sold to a breeder buddy for him then claire seen it at a reptile show when we went she liked it wanted it and now she owns it lol

this one has a naughty name but for short we call her the sauce lol. normal ball python i hatched out

then last we have fetish, nice lil female leopard gecko that i hatched out, she ate her tail as a baby and it has grown back quite nicely

I love that a friend of mine has animals i have produced, it is so nice watching them grow up and know they are in good care.

Tim,
...Welcome back. We rented an 8 bedroom house in Gatlinburg TN and had a big family get together. Four days was more than enough for me. The thing about families is that everyone HAS to have one. I did get to do some hiking and saw Elk, Bear and lots of Turkeys.
Life is good!
Jeff

Thanks Jeff,
Sounds like you had a blast. I have decided once I get all my debts payed off I am going to purchase a real nice digital SLR camera and taking wildlife pics. I think it would be a great little hobby since I enjoy both taking pictures and animals

There are Elk in TN?????

Jeff Clark Dec 04, 2009 12:28 PM

Elk are native to many of the eastern states from TN and NC and further north. Hunting pressure and developement got them all. About ten years ago the park service reintroduced them to the Smokeys and they are doing well. Right now there are around 125 in the park. The first few years they were only seen in the Cataloochee Cove area where they were introduced at the east end of the park. They are now seen at times at various places around the east half of the park. They will probably spread across all of the park in the next few years. BTW Elk reintroduction projects are not so new. They were reintroduced in many areas in the southern part of the Rockies starting in the 1920s and 1930s.

LOL, Elk are more common than people think. We have a group of them that wander the hills right outside San Jose CA. Have not seen them in a week or two. Funny how people will say they can't be elk, have to be cows until you show them the rack on the big bull!!

Somebody said the herd numbers in the hundred-ish but I've only seen four at one time, Bull, two cows and a calf

Yeah i did have a pretty good time even with the drama. The drama did do a good job reminding me of one of the reasons why i moved out of state LOL.
We all need to find a way to kick this forum in the butt and get things moving.
