Does anyone have a form?

FFEMT3112 Dec 03, 2009 11:04 PM

Does anyone have a charting form they wouldn't mind sharing?

I could make one I guess but just seeing what others use.

Looking to track weight, feedings, defications, temps and sheds.

Thanks
Brad

There used to be one available online for free, but I think most people found it wasn't all that useful.

It is pretty easy to track things using an excel spreadsheet. Just have a code for each "event", such as M for mouse, R for Rat, S for shed, D for defecation. I use a file for each year and sheet for each month. The A column has the species name and the other columns have the dates. I print off a new page for each month (or just enter stuff directly into the computer).

I had a separate file where I kept the weight of each snake (weighed monthly).

I made a simple database in MS Access a few years ago to track all this stuff more completely, but I found my excel files do the job just as well.

Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I'm not great at working with those dang databases lol. I poked around the internet a little bit and I'm going to try HCS (herp care software)for a while I work on getting a database set up. I figure its a good start.

Thanks
Brad

I agree with Chris. The data in this type of database doesn't require anything more than Excel.

Hey, you're better than I am. I use index cards. How archaic is that. But it works for me, and I could input the data into a PC later if needed.
