Hello,
I saw this ad on my local Craislist and I'm wondering if it's a joke. The snake looks like some sort of rattler to me, but I'm far from an expert on venomous. Any help?

Yes, that's a definite rattlesnake, not exactly sure what kind though. From the color of it, it might be an amel(albino) morph too, but tough to discern from those pics.
Sounds like whoever posted it was being a smart-ass about it as well if that is all it mentioned.

Bogus.
Yes it is some sort of rattlesnake, apparently albino. It appears to be one of the species of Tropical Rattlesnake (formerly all ssp of Crotalus durissus). It could be a C. basiliscus as well?
The ad looks bogus because of the infantile commentary and because it looks like shots from a public snake display.
