INFRARED on a COLD Evening of Egg Laying

amazoa Dec 05, 2009 08:42 PM

One of my Redfoots picked this evening to lay eggs here in N.E. the Fl. With it being in the Low 40's she had been at it since 5:30 and was getting at bit cold. I suspended a infrared light about 20 inches above her and at 9:30 she eased off the site and left me four eggs. My other females lay 6-9 eggs so I sure hope she pushed them all out. I'm guessing since she sealed the site and walked off that was finished job. Her eggs were good size. Now the 120 day wait begins------check out the pic......later Richard
