Temps in the tank

jball1125 Dec 07, 2009 07:38 PM

I have my 09 female lesser in a temporary 10 gallon glass tank.

On the left side I have the water bowl.. Temperature is 77 F

The middle temp is 78.5

And then on the back right corner I have her hide (the heat pad is located under it)the temp is 83 inside

On the front right corner I have a ceramic heat lamp from above and the temp under it is 85

These temps were measure at night so they are a couple degrees colder than the day time.

Are these temps fine or should I change them.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.... THANKS

get a temp gun! you can't rely on that flukers crap. No offense I have used both and discovered that those digital and even the "dial" ones are just garbage. The temp gun is much more accurate.

Yea your probably right they dont seem too accurate...

I raised the temp in the hide to about 92 and the ambient is 82 or so thats what it says

THANKS for the advice

sorry, to answer your question; I would raise the hide/heat pad temp to 90, the ambient you have should be fine. If in fact your temps are accurate.
