Bed-a-Beast Substrate

bhopp Dec 08, 2009 08:19 PM

I'm looking to buy some Bed-a-Beast substrate that comes in brick form. Is there any franchise pet stores that carry this stuff, ie petsmart, petco, etc.? I've seen only Eco-Earth in some pet stores around here, but heard that that Bed-a-Beast is better. Or do I have to order it from petmountain? Thanks for your help.

I think it stinks as a substrate, although when used in a soil mix it can become workable.

It is shredded coconut husk, and is sold under a few different names. Go to LLLReptile.com, they should have the best possible price on it.
