building a cage??

gyke Sep 18, 2003 06:20 PM

Iwant to build a new cage for my two collards. What would be the best size? Also what type of wood it safe to use? I have read that cedar and pine could be dangerous, but other places have said that pine is safe. I can't find anywhere that gives a definite answer.

Cedar and pine are Frowned Upon as bedding material, but it's doubtful your lizards could get "sick" from said wood being used solely as cage framing. I built a 8x4 cage with treated pine as the framework, sort of with collared in mind, but now it's used as a summer home for my box turtles (I STILL don't have any collareds).
