Cycling...

SpyderPB6 Dec 10, 2009 12:29 PM

Hey guys,

I am new to Boa breeding and see to have alot of information on the cycling of this species, particularly, conflicting information. Although they may soon be banned (email your reps today!) I would love to get somthing going.

I am curious as to what some of you more experianced boa breeders use for you DTH and NTH during the cycling period and how you couple that with humidity as not to cause ri.

I am hearing DTH of 90 (90????) from some sources and 78 with about 85 basking from other, where as the night time is about the same from sources at 72. Any input is appreciated especailly about how you incorporate your humidity into this period as well or if you do at all.

Thanks for your time,
Mike.

I don't cycle. Any temperature or humidty variations in my snake rooms are unintentional, but likely due to climate and weather changes. I had my first 2009-2010 litter last night from an August breeding. Others are due in Jan-Feb and other pairs have not started courting yet.

Some people swear by cycling, but my snakes are breeding primarliy between August and May without me doing anything intentional as far as temp/humidity goes.

Best of luck.

Mark
