I have a collard pretty young, had him/her for a week, and he keeps nailing the glass of the cage, i'm a little afraid he'll hurt himself. Is there anything i can do ? jumping into a glass wall has to be painful.

....cover all but the front glass with a 'background' or make it a solid color so the lizards can't see through it...

Well actually thats what he aims for the back ground, constantly trying to jump in to it.

...try substituting a solid color one and see if it helps. But probably not solid black, since that can act like a mirror.
