lizard queen Sep 18, 2003 06:30 PM

HELLO,
I LIVE IN OREGON, WITH A HIGH HUMIDITY. DURRING THE SUMMER IT IS 97 DEGREES WITHA 40 TO 50% HUMIDITY LEVEL. WOULD SRI LANKANS DO BETTER OR INDIAN STARS WITH THIS. I AM BUILDING A CAGE THAT WILL HAVE THE PRO PRODUCT HEAT PANNELS, AND THE MERCURY VAPER BULBS IN IT. I KNOW BURMESE STARS LIKE THIS, BUT MY BUDGET DOES NOT LIKE THE BURMESE THAT MUCH.
THANK YOU,
T-

Hey- I have two Indian Star tortoises that are doing great outside right now in Central Florida. Many people say Stars can't tolerate the humidity, but mine seem to be as healthy and active as any other Star I've seen. They're loving it. You just have to make sure to bring them inside at night, and during the more humid parts of the day. This especially applies in the morning, when it is very damp and dew covers the grass. If you Good luck. Brooks
