He voted against the amendment - I wouldn't call that on our side at all - as a matter of fact he thought we should all take our snakes out and skin them for trade to make up for our financial losses.

Agreed, he might be somewhat sympathetic to our cause, but I don't think he full understands it if he thinks breeders with tens of thousands of dollars worth of snakes will be able to recoup their money if they skin their snakes and sell the skins lol?! It pains me to say this but we almost need someone who is so anti-democrat that we can convince them to filibuster the vote so that it never even takes place, because as it is, I think the vote will pass since it seems like most politicians really don't care either way and will just vote according to party lines.
