baby nile

Someone please help me if you've had this problem with a monitor. i posted about the baby who is flipping upside down in the water and falling a little while he walks. The vet said he is neurologic and can't be helped and will probably die. Please tell me if any of you have been able to save and keep your animal alive.

Take him back to where you got him from and bring the vet bill. Return him, and get a friendlier beginners lizard. One that you will actually be about to handle and bond with!

Everyone wants you to succeed, maybe you don't like hearing the message?

The simplest success is to return the monitor to the place of purchase, take a small monetary loss, if necessary, and make a more informed species choice. Your purchase price pales in comparison to even 1 year worth of care for this particular species.

If you want to keep this animal alive, your problems and solutions lie with husbandry issues. Nothing neurological, no magic shots, no special light bulbs. Basic husbandry. Bring your setup up to speed, and QUICKLY, otherwise you will have a dead monitor AND the monetary loss.

Best of luck.
