Way cool, Rusty! It's snowing like crazy and -6F here in Montana right now. Not the best field herping weather... you lucky SOB... LOL
-Cole
I just checked the weather where Rusty and I both live, and it is 80 degrees and 92% humidity,.....geeesh!..LOL!
I'm going to go visit Tom Crutchfield sometime soon and check some herping "honey-holes" in his area in extreme southern Miami/Dade County in hopes of locating some locality brooksi, Everglades Ratsnakes, and maybe some Scarlet Kings as well if we're lucky enough.

Okay Doug, now I hate you.
92% humidity, wish I was in Brazil drinking Gin & Tonics instead of Montana drinking Hot Toddies.

HAHAHAAA!!, yeah, I hear ya partner!
Looks like Manuel with you there is the Latin "Mark Sosin" of Brazil, heh??..LOL!. Did he show you how to tie the renowned "No-Name" knot?..LOL!
Excellent Peacock my friend!
Oh!!, BTW, what he is holding in this pic, YOU will be targeting soon too bro!. Hope you clean up man!

Ugh... you're killing me, man! It's -14F here right now, but we're supposed to warm up into the 20's today. We could see 40F highs by the end of the week.
We can get snow any time of the year around here! This is in the Beartooth Mountains this past June when Jeff and his wife came to visit.

Holy moly!, that is insane weather you guys deal with, especially to me for THAT time of year!
I am more like a tropical milksnake myself,,LOL!, and I have only seen snow less than ten times in my entire freakin life. And THAT was when I was visiting other places..LOL!
Just like my animals, I never officially brumate either..HAHAHAHAA!
I used to live directly across the street from the pink Condominium in the background there(A1A), and now live just about a quarter mile from the ocean itself in a townhome. It is pretty warm again today(sunny in the mid-80's). I saw a Black Racer about 100 feet from the water itself a while back walking up the stairs to the boardwalk to the beach..LOL! Id say that snake was about as "coastal" a variant as you could get without being a sea snake..LOL!

Oh yeah?! Well we're going to hit the mid 20's today! Maybe 40 by the end of the week. AND, all of our herps are deep in brumation. Real, full-on brumation. LOL
The outskirts of Billings, MT (Yellowstone Co.).

The natural beauty of the landscape in your area BLOWS Florida's "flat-as-a-pancake" scenery clean out of the water dude!(literally..LOL!), that cannot be disputed whatsoever man....just unreal in my opinion!
Things get much nicer looking in northern Florida however.

I don't know abot that Doug. I have been to "Hooters pass" and "Cheetah lounge" to mention a few in Florida. The scenery there was jaw dropping!!
Joe's got an interesting point... the fairer gender doesn't have to bundle up as much down there...
-Cole
have been to the 'Cheetah' and might have to beg Cole's pardon cause I was pretty impressed by our 'topography' down here!
Well, it sure ain't flat here in MT! You've got the weather, we've got the topography. I guess it pays to have buddies in all corners of the country, huh?!
-Cole

...
LOL!,...Man!, I only see mind-blowing scenery like THAT on TV!...WOW!
But you and Joe DO have some great points as well. There ARE some very gentle undulating rolling curves, and sweet "topography"(peaks if you will) here too I guess now that ya mention it.

It's enough to make a guy ditch the cage cleaning and go exploring them thar "hills".
Hopefully a "snake" won't ever be discovered while exploring either..LOL!

LMFAO!! Discovering a snake would kind of ruin the rolling hills and moist brush in the valley effect wouldn't it. Nice mountain range you posted Doug. I have not been to that one yet but I still have time. My wife doesn't like me herping those spots any more though. LOL. I knew I was going to stir up some more dirty dudes like me with that one.
HAHAHAHAAA,....HHAHAAAAA!!
Ain't it the truth!!.......funny stuff man!

"a snake in the grass is a GOOD thing"
Yeah, I know it's rough in the cold...but like Doug has already said...I'd give up the warm weather for the change in landscape...if I didn't see a beach again, for the rest of my life, I'd be GREAT!
-Rusty

ain't THAT the truth!
