TJ. Dec 14, 2009 09:40 AM

Hi. I just asked this question over on the Rainbow Boa forum and thought I would do the same over here: What is the record size/length for a Ball Python? And do you have a photo of someone posing with a really Huge one?? Thanks. TJ.

I don't know what the record is but there are some really good size ones.

I used to live near a guy (Dave Ruska) who went to one of Tom's barbeques and saw what I assume must be the same ball python. He was very impressed!

My biggest two girls have laid 13 and 14 eggs before so maybe they will get as big as the others here some day.

Of course maybe better we not post pics of those 1 in 1 million big ball pythons right now as it will help get them added to the ban sooner rather than. I'm still paranioid as to what will be on the final bill; these are polotiions we are talking about here. I never did understand how size had to do with environmental damage potential and assumed it was just that they would be the easiest to scare the public into supporting a ban.

Yikes...I never thought of that! One reason I like BP's is their relatively small size. I suppose it would take just one pic of a 7 footer to get them banned, too!!
