Took some shots of babies in the 09 rack and had to share.

male Coral Snow from Don Soderburg of South Mountain Reptiles

female Strawberry from Prairieland Herpetoculture

female Okeetee I hatched out. Kathy Love line.

male Hypo Okeetee. A line started by John Meltzer. I now suspect this might actually be the ultra gene. Will find that out this spring. They cropped up in animals he's bred from locality Okeetee stock. Most of the babies were lighter than this but this guy and one female were darker in coloration and not as much orange in the background initially. Next summer their parents are being bred to amels to test for the ultra gene.

male Dilute Pastel Motley from Bayou Reptiles

female Alabama locality from Walter Smith

nice snakes
they all look good. nice examples....altough...the hypo okeetee seems to have a lot of black for a hypo.

I got my Alabama boys from Walter.
I will be breeding one of them to my Alabama female in the spring.
cool looking wild specimens in my opinion.

Hey Jimmy!
Yes, these Hypo Okeetees are a bit odd, in that they hatch out bright colored, definetly hypo like but yet still showing the black borders. Now, not all the babies have so much black. We are still trying to determine exactly what is going on with this line. But yes, very interesting how the colors are all brightened yet the black borders are still there!

Nice snakes from nice people!! I especially like the dilute Pastel Mot from Bayou Reptiles a lot!! Rob and Louise had some great animals on their tables at the past couple of local shows here in Louisiana. I am glad Walter is back into the corns again too. I missed seeing the guy at the past couple of LA shows since he moved to Alabama!! I need to try and hook up with him at one of the Dixie shows, but its a good five to six hours to get there for me!!!
