Is this a normal? Or...

ChrisMaze Dec 14, 2009 11:24 PM

Well after I've gotten more and more into ball pythons, I've noticed that my little buddy Diablo here who is a "normal" ball according to the pet shop doesn't look quite so normal. He has a lot of the markings of a fire but also quite similar to a classic jungle.

I've posted pictures up HERE.

Some of the things that stand out are the faded spot on the head which you can clearly see in the pictures. He also seems a little lighter in the melanin pigmentation on this back. Also, he has little actual color. He has no real red or yellow to him. Pretty much just a tan. The pictures don't show this all that well with the red carpet and my ACUs in the background.

And yes, I know he has a little shed left there. Been working to get it off. Just doesn't want to come off.

Very nice looking snake, but I would bet on a normal.
