new babies!

amazondoc Dec 15, 2009 06:02 PM

I got my new babies in the mail today. Yippee! I waited at the gate for two hours this morning, just to make sure I didn't miss the truck when it came.

I got three Hondurans -- tangerine albino, tangerine vanishing pattern, and hypo in what I've seen some people refer to as a "peach" phase -- all females. I haven't taken my own pics yet, but I'll post pics from the breeder if somebody will explain to me how to make this danged forum accept them!

They are all beautiful, but this one is my fave! The more I see these, the more I want!

Thanks!

I really only intended to get the albino. The others just sorta jumped into the box somehow!

Very nice and congats!! There are few things that can compare to the feeling of Christmas we get when we know snakes are coming in the mail that day. Gotta love it.

Thanks! I have no idea what the "preferred" or "fashionable" Hondurans look like, but these three appeal to me personally.

But I was soooo nervous this morning! My property is completely fenced, and the UPS/FedEx guys are not always real careful about catching my attention when they have a delivery -- and it was cold this morning -- so I was really afraid of missing the trucks (I had one snake come FedEx, and the three Hondurans came UPS). So I got up several hours earlier than I would normally (I'm a night owl) and stayed outside working right around the gate until both trucks came a coupla hours later. But all is well now, and the new kids are settling in. Yay!

"I have no idea what the "preferred" or "fashionable" Hondurans look like"

I'd say ALL those are very "preferred" and "fashionable" Hondurans.

Great acquisitions!

Thanks Doug! I, for one, am very happy that many of the nifty keeno snake morphs are getting more affordable. The last time I kept snakes, about 15 years ago, buying fancy morphs was pretty much a pipe dream!

LOL!,...man, do I hear THAT!!. Heck, I paid $800 bucks for an anerythristic hatchling when they were first available.

Yeah, $3,000 bucks for a tricolor albino?..HAHAHAA!, but that's the way things are when crazy unseen morphs first come onto the herp seen...LOL!

again, nice scores man!
