anery honduran milks

johnthebaptist Dec 19, 2009 08:04 PM

i love milks and have several although i do not own an anery honduran because i think they are ugly haha. Maybe i am partly biased because of all the anery honduran milks i have been around every single one of them were vicious, thrashing, biting and chewing demons. Now i know milks can be 'flighty' and 'nippy' as babies with a few being nastier but not like ive seen with anery honduran milks. is this just me? haha

Just you..LOL!

I have many VERY calm, well mannered, easy going anery's. Adults as well as hatchlings, and many other types of Hondurans too. And I also have some other individuals that are complete freak-outs. Some of my ghosts come to mind..LOL!. Both parents are VERY nervous individuals, even as older adults, then I also have other ghosts that are much milder behaved.

I even have an extreme hypo HATCHLING no less that is as puppy dog calm and easy-going as they come....period!

Snakes are ALL individuals with totally different behavior, just like any other animal,.... even humans too. There is no corrolation between any morph that is better, or flightier than another, it just sometimes "seems" that way because of someone's certain bloodline is like that.

Breeding two flighty, spastic parents will generally give good odds of producing very flighty, nervous offspring. This I know for a fact, and vice-versa. It is like any other inheritable trait, just as in dogs, etc...

Most Honduran hatchlings that are pretty nervous as hatchlings tend to get much better and grow out of this at around a year of age, while others just never do, it is as simple as that.

I've never seen a mean anery Honduran and I've been I've been breeding Hondurans for 20 years. Yeah, they aren't especially attractive - when I saw my first one I described it as looking like a snake that's been in a jar of formaldehyde and lost all its color. But I eventually grew to like them.

Young Hondurans can be quite a challenge, often squirming, biting and pooping on their handler, but as the get bigger, they calm down nicely.
