PETAs response to skin/meat trade

steelersdiehard Dec 23, 2009 10:39 AM

I've been emailing PETA three times a day for a week. My question was whether they would support a bill that if passed could promote skinning our pets and/or selling the meat for food to recoup our losses. Being they are fighting against us I thought this info would be useful.
Here is their response. We'll see what comes of this but it would supposedly put them on the fence if bill promotes this....

Dear Mr. Beilstein,

Thank you for contacting PETA again. We appreciate your concern about reptiles who are killed for their skins.

PETA is an animal rights organization that believes that animals deserve the most basic rights and consideration of their own best interests regardless of whether they are useful to humans. Like us, they are capable of suffering and have interests in leading their own lives; therefore, they are not ours to use—for food, clothing, entertainment, or experimentation, or for any other reason. Therefore, PETA not only supports legislation that would prohibit people from keeping and/or breeding exotic animals but opposes any bill that would permit killing them for their skins.

To the video exposing the cruelty of the exotic skin trade, please visit http://www.PETATV.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=exotic_skins.

Thank you again for writing and for your concern for this important issue.

Sincerely,

Karen Dickerson

Remember, PETA's ultimate goal is for animals to have all the rights we do. No human ownership, no pets, no eating them, no testing on them. They'd rather the animal be dead than owned. One of their largest expenses in recent years was the large walk in freezer used to store the carcases of the animals they put down. A high (very high) percentage of the animals they take in to "adopt out" never make it out of the collection van alive!!!!

This is another case of an A.R.A. group who refuses to look at reality; and instead makes it what they want it to be.

They are perfectly happy to break a few eggs to make an omelet, oh wait- no they're not... but they're fine with euthanizing dogs and cats by the droves to throw them in dumpsters... but we'd better stop the human consumption trade! Put those bodies in the dirt where they belong? They make me sick.

How much longer do we have to deal with these nut jobs before we actually go on the political and social offense against them?

Better not let me find out that any one of them eats anything other than a raw salad, dry cereal or insects for every meal. And I would bet that insects are probably on their list as animals as well. If they even as much as put milk on their cereal, eat fish or even a shrimp cocktail then we should call them out on it. These nut jobs are so contradictory to their own beliefs that there should be no trouble getting a lawyer to throw out anything that they call as Animal Rights.

I hate PETA cause PETA is lying about everything that they stand for and they are a stupid, terioriest and religious cult and they should be no more and if you support PETA than watch this:- go to youtube.com and search''Penn and Teller:PETA and watch part 1-4 and watch it all and respond how you feel about them now, OK and hope you all are smart enought to understand this cause a lot of people are nieve and over looks this crap. PETA is not as good as you think they are and sorry if I afiended anybody but I have to say this and excuse my spelling.

They are some of the biggest hipocrates (i know i probably spelled that wrong). One of my favorate PETA facts is that a few years back at one of their highend Hollywood fundraising events they auctioned off a luxury car with LEATHER interior!!!!
