Odd Head Scales

jharker Dec 23, 2009 01:31 PM

Trying to understand why some scales on the back half of my ball's head look odd now. She shed a couple weeks ago and this is not old skin. It looks like the scales in question just don't have the normal sheen covering on them. There are also a few random small patches (several scales at a time) that are similar in appearance in other places on her back.
Any ideas?

it's just dry skin. like chadramsey said, it'll be gone next shed.

I think it's when their sheds are a bit dry, so they rub too hard to get it started and end up rubbing the shine layer of the next scales right off. And yeah, it'll be gone next shed. No biggie.
