My gravid female has had a pre-lay shed(like snakes have) every 4 days before every clutch. I was just wondering if anyone else has this happen. She always sheds exactly 4 days before she lays too. She just shed saturday so she should be laying eggs on wednesday. I just thought is was kind of weird, becuase I thought that they had no special pre-lay sheds.

I've noticed the same 4-5 day thing with 3 of my females. Its kinda nice, cuz it lets me know when to keep a real close eye on the humid hide to make sure it never dries out for a minute.

Nice to know, I had exactly the same thing with my female. I thought that it was just a coincidence. But now I know that its really handy.
