Finally got the time to start the tree monitor cage! It is 6 ft 7 in (fits perfectly through doorways) by 4 ft wide by 2 ft deep. Plenty of work left to on it still though but I figured I would post as we made progress. The entire cage is made of oak and the inside will be lined with FRP. As you can see in the one picture the FRP is on the back, however it is not attached to the cage and was just put in there to see how it fitted. I already purchased the track for the sliding glass doors, just waiting for it to get here. The top will have a removable valence that will cover the misting system and all the wires coming out the top. Next few steps will probably be adding a few more coats of stain, install all the FRP, and then install the misting system bought from mistking with 8 misting nozzles. looks good, very similar to the unit I built for my black roughneck, though yours is looking much nicer in oak. Curious to see the final product and all the installed parts.

I'll be getting a pair of V. Prasinus... I would really like to get a pair of V. Macraei but this cage just isnt big enough... maybe here soon when I get a little more space I can get them to
real nice, i hope you are planning on installing good lighting for them too.
