*heh* That is exactly part of why I got myself a monitor. He eats all my surplus *laughs* My boa gets my retired breeders since he only likes to eat in the summer time and I usually have plenty of retired breeders every year.

u have "garbage disposal" animals too?

i got myself a cali king.. that thing gobbles up any leftovers or sick animals i throw at her.. maybe thats why shes like 6' long?

i picked up 2 more utility feeders yesterday.. 1.1 mexican black kings.. hopefully they'll help gobble up all the excess fuzzies and hoppers ive been having lately!

I can see it now. It starts with getting another snake to eat the extra feeders. Then More feeders to feed the extra snakes. There will be no stopping!

It's like you're looking for an excuse to get another snake, then you need an excuse to get more mice. I build cages so that I have an excuse to get another chameleon. "Honey, I have all these cages and they're just wasting space."

Thats it EXACTLY! *hehehe* I'm looking into getting a trio of V.Macreai... Blue Tree Monitors... Another garbage disposal for my mass explosion of superworms, mealworms and pinkies.... I don't know how I managed it but I must have WELL over 2000 superworms now from like 25 beetles. Its actually frightening... not to mention the well over 6000 mealies I produce *L* I use those for my lactating female rats as well.. they love em.

My Savannah Monitor eats anything and everything.. SAVE superworms.. though he used to eat em when I first got him.. Now, at 20 inches 4 months later (up from 8 inches at the end of May) he won't touch em. He wants his chicken, his rats and his beef and thats it... Oh and the ocassional live mouse.

O.K. I have to come clean. I started replacement breeders too soon. Oh well!

I started with a single insectivore, then it was a rosy boa, Then I gave hubby a cal king and got myself a couple. At this point it was ridiculous to buy mice one at a time, so we bought some breeders. They started slow, and them WHAM, so many mice! Bought more snakes, bought more mice. This fall now Hubby is putting his foot down. My latest shipment of snakes is supposed to be my last one.

2.4 cal kings
1.2 corns (and 1.2 en route)
(1.4 black rats en route)
1.0 rosy boa
0.1 jungle carpet python
1.1 blotched kings (plus 7 hatchlings)
0.1 Az mtn kings (and 1.0 "on order"

Luckily we've moved out of the old house and have our own home now, with a shed built for the mice, and no more mice in the house.
