How do you feed Dragon when you are away

skirush Dec 28, 2009 10:05 PM

Hello all, I own a boa so I am not new to reptiles, but I am new to bearded dragons. I was considering getting a bearded dragon, but I see that they pretty much require daily feeding.

What do you all do when you need to go away for the weekend? What about when you need to leave for 5 to 7 days?

thanks,
SR

A weekend you can probably get away with once in a while. Longer than that you definitely need someone to feed them for you.

I hire a pet sitter.

For adults leaving them alone for a weekend isn't a problem. if you are going to be gone for over 4 days, then you should have somebody come over and feed them while you are gone.

For dragons under a year old I recommend having somebody come over every day while you are gone to feed your dragon.
