Update pic on hypotangerine albino male

StarGecko Sep 19, 2003 01:01 AM

This is Vivid. He is developing more and more orange on his body and tail every week, I expect he might go completely orange. He will be my new breeder male next year and is NFS.

This is Vivid's clutchmate, also a male. He should go hypo or superhpo as mom was a SHTCT (het albino) and father a hypotang albino, but of course there are no guarantees with selectively bred traits.

The female you put up for sale is a real beauty. They are Tremper, right? I was hoping you might have pictures of the parents. Top notch albinos!

Stargecko Sep 19, 2003 04:32 PM

Thanks! I emailed you pics of the parents of geckos in classifieds, she has a different mother than these two. I prefer to handle commercial interactions via email, the forum isn't intended for them.

I should have chosen my words more carefully on the original post. I merely asked for the parent’s pictures because I was curious, and I know how much everyone around here enjoys a good pic. That’s why I choose the forum to ask, and not email or via the classified. Hope there are no hard feelings, and thx again for the pictures!

Very nice! You need a photogallery with some of the males your selling!

Stargecko Sep 19, 2003 11:56 AM

You mean the Kingsnake one? I have one, but I think I only have one male I am selling on it (Vivid is NFS). I will put more photos on there. I do have two ads for males posted on the classifieds now, posted a few days ago.

We need to do some trading on females. I have a few that have hatched from this male. Not like yours but still nice orange on him.

I've already done enough outcrossing in 2002 and 2003 for genetic diversity next year, and have other unrelated hypotangs and a stripe I will be outcrossing with in 2004. Right now the only animals I am considering adding (buy or trade) are high color patternless het tremper, a hypotang with significant carrot (at least 40% or so, ideally het tremper but not neccessary), and I am hoping to get a red stripe/jungle tang tremper albino het when it is available.
