Sunforce Mercury Bulbs by Big Apple Herp

bkleinman Dec 30, 2009 11:05 AM

I starting using these bulbs when they first came out 2-3 years ago ~ and they were great! They lasted a long time and my animals did very well with them. In the past year or so the Sunforce bulbs I've been getting either a) don't work or b) last for a month or two and burn out. I'm tired of calling Big Apple (and I'm sure they are tired of me calling), but WTF!

I'm switching to a different Mercury Vapor Bulb, but I was wondering if anyone else has tried this product and are your bulbs broke or burning out too soon as well.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks,

BK

I had the same problem as you but I just kept calling and getting a new bulb. I originally ordered more than I needed just in case they came in bad. Each bulb would get tested upon receipt, it took awhile but eventually I had long lasting bulbs.

Your supposed to swap them out ever 6 months anyways so, after that they won't guarantee them.

They never complained...

I do the same thing with Die-hard batteries...buy the first one with a 100 month warrentee. Got a new one ever year from then after. It finally expired last year... So this summer I'll have to buy a new one...O darn.
