Wendy x Rosco babies DUW!!!

rainbowsrus Dec 30, 2009 03:42 PM

Was cleaning last night and two of the Wendy X Rosco babies had their third shed so time for some new pics....

First up was WE-RO-0901 with his third shed, what a stunning looking baby BRB!!!!!

Then I added in his brother (0902) from the next tub, one of the lighter colored ones in the litter...

And #0902 by himself, a lighter colored one but not nearly as light as the two nicest ones......

Also just had a third shed was one of the females, #0903.....

Then all these pics made me hungry......

Yup.......

Time for me to mix up some soup........

All Wendy x Rosco babies....
Top row - 0901m, 0908m
Middle row - 0903f, 0910f, 0911f
Bottom row - 0907f, 0906m

0910f and 0906m (center and lower right) are the clear lighter ones and holdbacks for sure (gonna breed them together eventually)
0901m (upper left) stunning and a keeper
0903f (far left) stunning and a keeper
0911f (far right) totally stunning but opaque right now, for sure keeper

And a bunch more shots of the soup from different angles.....

I second that! What is your secret in getting those little beauties to stay still for those pictures? I can't get my big guy to even stay still for even a second in order to get a picture, lol.

Big ones - no way can you get that many to hold still. Darn near impossible to get just one to stay still.

Notice, not one is actually touching another.....

As grasshopper indicated, much of the secret involves the mysterious "bowls". "Bowls" can be any object large enough to contain the subject and best when as small as possible to barely contain the subject. I have cheap dollar store bowls with arches cut into the rims. Two inverted bowls are placed on the location where you will take the pictures with the slots aligned. Direct the subjects head into the opening and allow it to slither in. Rotate the bowls in opposite directions to close off the opening as it slithers in. Once all the way in and closed off. wiegh it down and wait a few minutes. When you lift of the bowls you just might get a decent amount of time to photograph but be ready, time may still be very short.

For small enough babies, I use my hands.

For my "soup" shots, it must be a combination of my touch and the tubs I use allowing me to gently lift them out without actually disturbing them. Once moving, they WON'T settle down so if wiggly when removed, put right back away.

LOL, tape won't work, you need some super glue!!!!

Really, I do't see what the problem is, I do this all the time and you all seem to think it's magic. Must have a rainbow colored thumb!!

Seriously. This time I had deli cupped the entire litter to look at and compare. They had all settled into ther deli cups and I thoiught it would be a good opportunity. So, for those 7 I popped off the lid, gently lifted the baby out and set it on my workbench and placed the cp inverted on top. Once I had all 7 in plase, I remoed the cups and scooted them a bit closer. Not a one moved for the entire time I had them out!!!! Good lil boys and girls!!!
