Convincing the pet store owner it's not worth that much.

Is there really any way to convince the $500.00 for that wannabe pastel, reduced pattern, etc., is not worth it when you know and they know it's worth $50.00? (I know you can say no) I don't know if Pet Stores and Reptile Stores will actually haggle on the price of a normal BP that just happens to look real pretty. I know that there are some RS that will let you "cherry pick" your own BP. Unfortunately there are none near me. I know that they get in major quantities but they dont make them easily accessible. Im sorry if I sound rude, but I just don't want some snake handed to me. I want to look for my own healthy bp.

It was just a statement about how the pet stores and reptile stores will charge you a lot of money for a really pretty snake while making you assume it might be a new morph. They have a set price and it's unfortunate that some people are more concerned with how much money they are going to make.

Once I went to a reptile show and I don't remember the vendors name but they had some really nice normals. They had one they called a striped goblin. I think some people on here may have seen the pictures I posted of it a while back. Anyhow the guy had on the tub 500 crossed out and then it said sale 250. I offered the guy 50 dollars at the end of the show and he said "theres no way I can take that little for her."

Then in the last few minutes of the show I said "60" and he said "she's yours."

Of course with a store it's differen't. My advice is if you really want a normal you see at the store, WAIT. Let the guy not sell it for a while, even if he does sell it, 20 more will come through that you'll like. All normal ball pythons look great.
