I Had Such Hope...Sigh

Sigh. I had such hope, I really wanted it to be different. But alas it wasn't so.

A new pet store opened up in town and I've been curious to go window shop. I got my chance today (I needed a rat anyway). The store looked clean and had a nice layout, but when I approached the reptile section my heart sank. Crickets in with the corn snakes (they eat those don't you know) and the most horrible stuck sheds on the ball pythons (how hard is it to keep it humid). The bearded dragons looked sickly and the uromastyx enclosure either had a broken hydrometer or they believe them to be a tropical species.

I left without my rat.

My girlfriend and I run a pet store, and it's places like that, that give pet stores a bad rap. If you don't know how to properly care for something, is it really that hard to go online and find a care sheet. We are a full line pet store (except we don't sell dogs or cats), but we take a lot of time and care to make sure each species is properly housed and fed. Hopefully people realize all pet stores are not like that.

Man that Sucks! Sounds like a couple of the pet stores arround here.
It could be worse I suppose, at least they dont think cornsnakes eat corn.
