Cut on Snake

sweetiesloveme Jan 01, 2010 08:42 PM

I work at a place where an young Albino Corn snake cut himself down to the last layer of skin as he escaped. The vet stitched him up, but then he went into shed, so when the stitches had to come out and the scales were not fully pulled back together so there is skin exposed. He shed great. Will the scales ever be able to come back together? He is eating great and does not even notice that anything is wrong.

if the snake is eating, shedding and acting fine than i wouldnt worry unless it has an open wound. it may scar but from what ive seen things tend to get a little better with every shed.
