sad news

Even though this isnt on the subject of tegus, I thought I would post that my Chinese Waterdragon "Asia" died last night, after being at the vet's office for a week (it was her first night home, since Monday), due to internal parasites. I figured it would be ok to post this here, as most of you I do consider to be my friends. I can't say enough about routine vet visits, and although tegu's are a MUCH hardier species than the Chinese Waterdragon, this has taught me a very painful lesson in routine vetrinarian care.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss and our condolences go out to you. I, too, keep a pair of Chinese Water Dragons, Snaggle and Emmett. They are wonderful animals and I'm sure you will miss Asia terrible. I hope your grief is short-lived but that the memories live forever. From my family to yours....*hugs*

Thank you so much. Unfortunately chinese water dragons seem to be an extremely delicate species, and even though both my husband and I, and our wonderful vet did everything possible to help her, she was just too weak to pull through. She will be greatly missed but you are right, the memories will last forever.
