I know,...I know....

I know that there are a hundred caging questions a week, but I just bought a new house, and I have a new snake room! So....The room is 15 feet long, and so the new cage will be fifteen feet long. What do you guys think about depth and height? I want to give her a huge enclosure, but I also want to leave some space to move around in/also for my other snakes(1.1 boas, 0.1 blood, 0.1 ball, 0.1 monacle cobra, 1.0 W.A. Gaboon, 1.1 Atrox)

Which snake is her? I wouldn't house any of those snakes together, not even the boas unless you want babies. A 15' enclosure would be nice for a very very large burm or retic, otherwise I would use separate enclosures.

"Her" is my albino burm. Hence the forum. Each snake is getting its own enclosure. I really hope that you didn't think that I was going to keep two snakes in one enclosure, let alone all of them! I'm building the enclosures together from the floor to the ceiling so that they appear built into the walls. The burm's is the largest and the most permanent enclosure, so I thought that I would get some advice from Rob or Brian. Anyway, I appreciate you keeping me in check, just in case I happened to wake up one morning and look in the mirror to find myself mentally retarded. ..Anyway, I actually have two burms; I just wanted advice on depth and height suggestions for a fifteen-foot long permanent enclosure for one, because I am building an identical cage for the other. Just trying to keep it simple. Well,...Any suggestions? I was thinking 3 or 4 feet deep, although three is a bit shallow...

Sorry man, I misread your post, I wasn't trying to insinuate you didn't know what you were doing. I read your list of snakes and didn't see any burms there without realizing that was the remainder of your snakes. Obviously you must know what your doing if your keeping those hots, and I don't mean your new female addition, although she is, congratulations on that.
You would be surprised though by some of the setups I've seen with people keeping different species together.
What kind of boas do have ?

Ha ha ha. No post,.. I just think that's a hilarious fact.

Hmmn,.. this is a little to vague to get a clear idea on how best to build in cages. Where are the doors? The windows? Do you plan on adding more snakes later and thus should design a system around enevitable expansion? Probably. Why don't you sketch a diagram of the room and scan it, then email it to me. I'll see what I can come up with. I already have a few ideas, but I want to see the layout first to see if it will work.

I suppose that I was a bit vague. I'll email you. That is really nice of you to offer advice. Thank you. I'll send a layout of the room. I'm planning on the cages being stacked, front opening cages with sliding glass doors. Already bought all the glass... $OUCH$! Anyway, I just got married last Saturday, got back from the honeymoon, and am moving into our new house on this Friday. I really can't wait to set up a really nice snake room!,...I mean, the new wife's cool an' all but,...HaHa, Just joking. I'll email you some room dimensions, and I REALLY appreciate your input. -Justin
P.S. Here is a photo of me and my new captive-bred female. Hoping to breed her next year. Hopefully she's not Het for anything.

When you send the room dimensions/layout, make sure you include the measurements of the glass that you have and intend to use. The height of the ceiling is relevant. You know, if you could just snap pictures, as well as measuring everything that would be best.
