Some Duct tape placed upside down around the perimeter of the walls where you think it might be would be a good thing to do. Then if you DO find it stuck all in the tape, just drizzle some vegetable, or mineral oil all over it and rub it in to loosen it from the snake.

But make sure you check this OFTEN!. I have heard of people doing this and forget about checking it after a while, only to later find the small snake dead in the tape!

I feel your pain. Think UP!!

I recently had a hatchling cornsnake escape. After I completely turned my house upside down, I just happened to look up at the top of the closet door in my bathroom and he was peeking at me. He was wedged into the top of the door frame.

I found a missing young grey rat when I spotted it climbing up an electrical cord draped over a bookcase.

Good luck! Sure hope you find him.

I agree, I have found more than a couple snakes on a shower rod and on curtain rods and book shelves.

thanks everyone i got a tape trap set up where i think he is. also i think he might be in a sliding wood door, i mean under it. because there is just a little tiny hole he can crawl in and he could be in there for who knows how long. i once lost a cali king in the same door then two weeks later he was sitting right in front of it and i didnt even put a trap out so im glad he at least came back.

Cal Kings tend to stay on the floor and move around. That's how you spot the cal kings. They don't stay in one place.

Rats and corns tend to climb.
