snake rack problem

johnthebaptist Jan 03, 2010 03:27 PM

i built a new rack today with 28qt tubs from walmart. im all kinds of irritated. the tubs fluctuate in heights leaving some gaps and some tubs are too tight. money down the drain if i cant figure out a way to shim certain tubs and loosen up others.

are you sure its not the melamine sagging?

for the ones with gaps you could lay sheets of card board underneath them or use the lids.

is there anything you can shave off the tight ones?

hey jake, a few things about the rack. the design called for 28qt sterilite tubs so i went to wal mart and bought some (18 to be exact) being the motivated person i am i decided to burn air holes into all 18 then build the rack. little did i know (and found out today at target) there is another type of sterilite 28qt tub that is flush at the top unlike the 18 i bought. i am going to replace the tubs with those and just take a loss on the tubs. i got plenty of quarantine tubs now lol.
