I thought of this idea about a year ago, and finally had the money to get it done. I love it! Sorry, but it's not a great pic.

to be honest....I would have used the money to buy a real ball python...nothing worse than being stuck with a silly cartoon on your skin for life.

Nothing worse than the person who HAS to make the comment about disliking tattoos.

agreed if you dont have something nice to say dont say anything at all.... anyways i think its cute. very creative
She said nothing about disliking tattoos, just silly tattoos. This tat may be cute in your 20's and maybe even in your 80's but it does seem kind of silly for all the time in between. But that being said if you like it and it has meaning to you, more power to you. I'd had a lot of ideas for tats over the years, before I finally got my first at age 32. It is one that I wanted for a long time (much like pythonaddict said about his) and some think it's silly. I like mine, and over the years, it has gained even more meaning for me. So bottom line, who cares what anyone else thinks as long as you like it and it has meaning for you.

I definitely do like tattoos, just was never a fan of most cartoon type tattoo's, especially characters from cartoons aimed towards kids under 10. I have seen quite a few really nice and creative reptile tattoos on various other forums and even the Tat Contest Reptile Magazine has every once in awhile.
I agree that the person who got the tattoo, if she really loves it and is going to love it 10 years from now, then definitely it is the tat for her. For myself personally, definitely not a tattoo I would get to show the true beauty of a ball python.

Love to watch it with my kids...................
Very cute, I love it. I'm more of a Patrick fan myself, though
I have been toying with the idea of a BP tat for some time now. I'm a perfectionist, however, and until I can find an artist who is intimately familiar with how a Ball Python looks, moves, and reacts, I am holding out.

To help clear up any confusion, I am a female, lol, 27, who happens love Spongebob. Thank you all for the nice comments, and for those that didn't like it, well, so be it. Sorry to make such a stink, just thought I'd share.
No worries. Despite the fact I don't like Spongebob, the tattoo itself is well done. It definitely looks just like the character and the snake is recognizable as a ball python...just doesn't stand out much against the bright yellow of Spongebob. But I have seen far worse tattoos in an artistic standpoint.
Guess the main point is you really enjoy it and love the character. In hindsight, I am sure you wouldn't have gotten a tattoo of Spongebob if you didn't like the character to begin with (or maybe it should be called Spongeball
)

I've gotta chime in here as sponge bob did actually start as a cartoon geared for 10 year olds but is now geared for the 25-40 year old demographic as that is 75% OF THEIR AUDIENCE...... there is quite a bit of ADULT humor in sponge bob. I'm 31 and just love it when there is nothing else on..

Really??? A sponge that lives in a pineapple that goes jellyfishing??? I kind of understand what you're saying but I still think it's a stretch to say it's now geared towards adults. It's simply a cartoon that happens to appeal to all age groups. I used to like it, then I could kind of tolerate it, now I really have to turn the channel...unless it's the episode where Mister Crabs gives him the squeeky boots!
