I have a hatchling Corn snake that is sheading. He has peeled only about 3 cm beginning on his nose, the remainder of his body appears to be constricted by the dry and intact dead skin. He has been this way for 10 days. His movement is affected and last night he took a pinkie only to pass it as far as peeled area then regurgitated. It appears his unpeeled area would not give enough to allow it to pass.

Help !!

thanks,
Dr. G

Get a rubbermaid container at Walmart. A small one. Figure out a way to poke airholes in it (drills and soldering irons work). Put the snake in their with sopping wet paper towels for a few hours. Hopefullly that will solve your problem. Then you can take the same container and cut a snake sized hole in it. Put it in the cage and keep the paper towels wet. Voila! A humid place for your snake to go so this doesn't happen during the next shed cycle!
