My Uro is losing her tail scales, revealing a black undersurface. Is this normal? She has undergone a size increase, and I was thinking at first that she would have to shed the tail scales in order for the tail to grow. However, it has taken a long time.
For the record, I do not put water in her cage. Her food is washed and only small amounts of water are left on the food, mostly wiped off on a paper towel (I need to do that as her food comes from outside). The only other moisture she gets is her calcium spray.
