Help sexing Central American Hypo

whodini33 Jan 04, 2010 11:11 PM

Ladies and Gents... I am in need of help finding the proper way to probe my boa. It was sold to me as an adult male about 6 months ago. I never sexed it I just took their word because they are reputable. I am having second thoughts though. I read up on probing and attempted to probe it but the probe is not going in very deep. I may be doing it wrong so can someone tell me the proper way to do it? I just want to make sure that I do it correct and don't hurt the snake. Please advise.. Thank you.

Alan

There are videos online which would be easier than trying to type out an explanation. It's really pretty simple, but probably easier just to watch it done. So, either google search or go to youtube and search there. I put in Kathy Love probing video in google to check and it pulled up a youtube clip at the top of the page. Hope you find one that answers all your questions.
