OT - Chondro Pics

flavor Jan 04, 2010 11:23 PM

Hey all, I had a request and it's been a while since I put up some chondros. So.....

This pair has bred a coupler of times this year. The female is on the left. I'd love to see babies from this pair. We'll see how it goes.

This is a repeat of my 2008 pairing. They have locked up a dozen or so times over the last couple of months. She's off feed and swelling nicely. I think we should see ovulation in the next week or so.

This guy is single at this point. He's from Greg Maxwell's 2006 Pepper x Merauk outcross pairing. With a little luck, he'll be paired with the next snake...

This is my newest addition. I call her "Alaska". She was produced by Rich Culver. She's a super blue animal who turned from red to blue with no green phase. Her father is a blue/mite pahse animal and her mother is from the Dream line. She's only a year and a half so we'll have to wait a while to introduce her to the above male.

Enjoy the pics and thanks for the request!

Thanks Mike They look great, my fingers are crossed for you.

that lil girl is quite the looker. I can only imagine what she is like in person.

I miss my little smokin sorong I had. Deff had trophy color and its temper was better then any snake I have ever owned.

You're welcome Tim.

My chondros have very good attitudes as well. These guys have a bad reputation that is blown way out of proportion.

I think most of the hastle with green trees is from the "older days" dealing with more wild caught animals, Just like blood pythons and retics.

this guy is as sweet as can be HOWEVER dont let him smell food lol. he has a feeding responce like no other.

I used to think bloods were evil monsters. I read an article several months back in Reptiles by Dave Barker dispelling this myth as well.

I agree that these reputations are leftover from wild caught animals. Nice looking snake!

OMG...Alaska. She's really colored up nicely for you. Beautiful!

Good luck with the pairings. That first one is right up my alley.
