Is Reptivite enough?

Shupey Sep 19, 2003 09:17 AM

Hi:

Sorry for all the posts in the last few days but I'm new to this forum (and leopard geckos). I have a 3-4 month old leo that seems very healthy. Right now I dust every cricket with Riptivite. I put a small lid of reptivite in the cage as well, but have never noticed the Leo using it. I am a little confused as to whether this is all i have to do or is there an individual calcium suppliment that i should be using as well? I dont recall seeing on at the local pet store. Does the Reptivite have everything i need or should i be looking for a straight calcium suppliment as well? If so, what type of "dusting schedule" would you recommend? Thanks

Welcome to the wonderful world of leos! It's nice to have you here. Might I also suggest the forums at www.geckonetwork.com They are friendly & quite helpful (no offense to Kingsnake, this forum's great, too). I think you're doing plenty to suppliment your little leo, but I'm sure others will have advice as well. Enjoy your new friend
